GOOD WITH HUMANS (ADULTS)

  • It’s time for the first of our Catherine O’Hara pups to hit the adoption market! Born December 11, 2025, Cookie Fleck came to us from a litter of eight pups who were rescued from northern Manitoba. Like her namesake, she loves affection and has plenty of perfectly placed blonde highlights! Cookie has already earned her “Best in Show” ribbon and can’t wait to show it off to her new famiy!

If there’s one thing Cookie likes, it’s affection! She responds really well to all kinds of attention and praise and has no issues greeting new faces when visitors come around. Her human interactions have been limited to adults only, but puppies are malleable little things so we have every confidence that she’d be just as sweet and gentle around children! As long as she’s with her people, she’s a happy gal. Whether she’s snuggling up to her fosters in the morning or playing a round of fetch, one thing’s for sure: she’ll love you no matter what, even if you have two left feet!

Cookie’s daily exercise includes a combination of backyard time, 20-30 minute indoor play sessions every few hours and some outdoor leash practice. The backyard is the perfect arena for her to practice her Best in Show strut! Right now she likes to zigzag but is improving on the daily. Cookie has had no issues learning her basic commands and shows tons of potential to level up with some more complicated tricks. She’s picked up on words in English and Hindi (we’ve got a bilingual pup on our hands!). She’s highly intelligent, intuitive and adventurous … the perfect combination!

So far, Cookie’s shown to prefer a quiet environment but is equally comfortable with loud sounds. Her confidence is consistently growing, and though she prefers to stick closer to her fosters, she is a curious gal who’s eager to explore! Initially, she struggled with some anxiety but her fosters have had success gradually increasing her periods of alone time. It’s best that she remains crated when alone as she can be mildly destructive!

Cookie is mostly potty trained – she signals when she needs to go and most accidents have been her fosters’ fault. She is microchipped and has received her first round of puppy shots. Cookie is currently being treated for Giardia; all associated costs will be covered by MUTTS. Her adoption fee will include her remaining puppy shots and spay at six months!

Cookie Fleck is ready to win over the hearts of her new family – watch out, Winkie the Terrier! There’s a new blue ribbon winner in town!
