LAVENDER.

JUST A BABY | F | STANDARD GOLDENPOO
MEDIUM-LOW ENERGY
GOOD WITH HUMANS (ADULTS) & DOGS

Meet our sweet Lavender! Lavender is part of the group of goldenpoo pups who was rescued from a local puppy mill (a quick reminder that we can’t rescue these cuties without committed fosters!). Just like the plant, Lavender has really blossomed in the full sun of her new life (aka away from the awful mill conditions), and she’s excited to continue flourishing with her new family!

We couldn’t have picked a more perfect name for Lavender if we tried! Lavender is a calm, low energy girl who much prefers snuggling on the couch and bingeing your favourite TV show with you than spinning laps around the backyard! That doesn’t mean she won’t enjoy a good round of zoomies when the opportunity arises, but if it was up to her, she’d happily opt to relax by her human’s side. Lavender is the queen of affection! She loves to lay on you, around you, in your arms … no amount of closeness is too much for her! Her floppy, cuddly nature does have us wondering if she is, in fact, a lavender-scented teddy bear. She loves to be near her foster and will follow her from room to room, though she’s started to gain that independent lady energy and can happily hang on her own, too! Given her easy nature, Lavender would be the perfect addition to just about any family, so long as they can provide her with cuddles, attention and cozy places to snooze!

Since moving in with her foster, Lavender hasn’t met too many other dogs, apart from anyone she encounters while out on a walk. She takes a few beats to warm up but she’s always polite! With humans, Lavender is a little shy at first, but it’s not long before she enters full-on excitement mode and wants to play! Lavender is already walking wonderfully on the leash. She may get distracted by zoomies, but for the most part, she’s quite good at walking alongside her foster, and if she gets ahead, she’ll stop and wait! Lavender has chased the odd bird, but it’s highly likely she’s looking for a playmate and doesn’t quite understand that birds aren’t keen on befriending puppies. Her basic obedience is shaping up right on target, too! She’s still tuning up her potty training skills, but most of her accidents have happened while in the crate. She really dislikes being left alone while crated, so her foster has tested out leaving her in a confined space (door closed, any desirable objects put away), and Lavender is usually found sleeping on the couch or dog bed when her foster returns (accident-free, too!).

Lavender is microchipped and has had her first round of puppy series shots. She’s currently being treated for Giardia (all associated costs will be covered by MUTTS). Her adoption fee will include her spay at six months and remaining puppy shots.

Our calm, sweet-natured girl is ready to plant some roots. She’s looking for a family who are committed to offering endless cuddles, love and as many pup cups as she’s allowed!
