JUST A BABY | M | MANITOBA MUTT
HIGH PUPPY ENERGY
GOOD WITH HUMANS (ADULTS AND KIDS) & DOGS

Meet Spike! A Manitoba mutt born on February 5, 2024, and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He's all about that good life—tail forever on wag mode and a playful grin that says, "Let's be pals!" Whether he’s dishing out warm welcomes or romping around the yard, he’s the life of the party and loves every minute of it.

This loveable little goober is incredibly sociable and just loves being around people and other dogs. His foster's neighbour runs a daycare (including toddlers and young babies in strollers) and he does well around them. He's equally comfortable hanging out on or off the leash and just has this way of making everyone around him feel like a friend. He's super affectionate—always up for cuddles—and he really likes to be part of whatever's going on.

Now, when it comes to training, Spike is pretty smart, but he's still got that adorable puppy clumsiness. He's getting the hang of leash training, even though he initially thought the leash was another toy! He’s good with crate training, too, finding it a cozy spot for naps rather than a place to fret.

And oh, the quirks! Spike has a few that are just too cute. He's ticklish, sometimes has a bit of gas, and he's got this funny interest in his own poop—hopefully, just a puppy phase we're keeping an eye on. He's also quite the detective in the yard, always sniffing around and investigating everything with puppy curiosity.

Life with Spike means lots of playtime—think running, fetch, and tug-of-war—to match his energetic vibes. But after all that play, he's also content to just chill out and nap. Whether he’s romping around or snoozing in the sun, Spike knows how to enjoy the simple pleasures.

He is microchipped and is currently being treated for giardia antigens. He and his siblings are all experiencing some hair loss in various patches on their bodies. We are currently working with our vet to resolve this and will cover all costs for this.

His adoption fee also includes the remainder of his puppy vaccines and his neuter before he is six months old.

So, that's Spike! A lovable, playful, and slightly goofy pup looking for a forever home where he can share all his love and playful antics. Isn't he just the best?
